Henry Clay

WHAT a blessing it was to have my friend Denise capture these images. I loved them four years ago, but couldn’t imagine how much more I would adore them as time passes.

I will probably never have the privilege of doing this again, and that actually breaks my heart a little. What a gift to be able to have this tangible record of birth.

Henry was my first time using hypnobabies. I could not believe how fast and painless my labor was! A few hours in I started to feel discomfort and I think we were all pretty surprised that it was time to push.

Shout out also to the very best OB in the fredericksburg area, Dr Brian Josephs. I could cry talking about him, and probably have. He’s amazing. And also to nurse Kristin… who is a beloved part of our family story… what a JOY it was to be her patient for the day!

Tomorrow on his actual birthday I will share all about our sweet Henry, but today I am remembering his birth and crying over all of these pictures! ❤
